Production of forages and hay handling equipment has been the primary focus on the Hall family farm for over 50 years. In the early 1960’s Edgar Hall and his sons began to build the first generation of the self propelled 3-wide bale stackers for two string hay bales. In a small shop south of Brush, Colorado, the first stacker was completed in the spring of 1964. Over the years we have designed and built several different hay handling products to improve the efficiency and quality of our operation. Self-unloading hay trailers, self-propelled small square balers, self-propelled large bale stackers, small bale clamps, and large bale clamps have been a few of the winter projects. Our process today consists of 4×4 bale equipment, a high speed hay press, and a fully automated bale bundling system developed and built in our own shop. We have virtually eliminated all of the hand labor in the small bale process and introduced more quality control into our hay products.
